POSITION SUMMARY:
Are you passionate about working with immigrant youth and helping to provide a safe environment to learn, play games and develop connections with other youth, staff and volunteers? Join our Children & Youth Services team in welcoming newly arriving refugees, asylum seekers and other immigrant youth, by coordinating, providing structure, and leading K-12 after-school clubs, K-12 Virtual Club, Summer programming and extra-curricular activities.
This is a limited-term position funded through a grant agreement until September 30, 2026 and contingent upon funding extension.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Implementation of after school clubs, including virtual clubs, promoting academic and social emotional skill advancement. Youth club coordination includes safety protocol, family, school, and volunteer communication; organizing club locations (or zoom links) and times.
- Providing support for transportation for after-school club sessions. Willingness to drive students in 15 passenger van.
- Work closely with the Children & Youth Specialists to identify potential students for club and facilitate their enrollment and participation.
- Lead pre-club meetings with volunteers and club facilitation.
- Administer and record data for Social Emotional Assessments.
- Guide volunteers, interns, and/or work-study students.
- Maintain data of client and volunteer records using databases; ensure that student attendance is taken each week and reported accurately.
- Assistance with planning and implementing summer youth clubs with the Youth Clubs Specialist.
- Prepare and submit monthly program reports and other reports, as requested.
- Communicate with parents about upcoming activities.
- Attendance at required World Relief Chicagoland and Children & Youth staff meetings.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Fluency in Arabic, Dari, Spanish, or Swahili preferred
- Cross cultural experience preferred
- Bachelor's degree preferred
