Job Summary: Stone Resources is seeking a reliable and skilled Granite Field Service Technician to perform on-site repairs, adjustments, and service-related tasks for installed granite, quartz, and other stone surfaces. This role requires strong problem-solving abilities, excellent customer service, and experience working with stone products and installation tools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform field service calls to inspect, repair, or adjust installed stone countertops and surfaces.
- Diagnose issues such as chips, seam separation, lippage, cracks, or improper installation.
- Use stone repair techniques including polishing, epoxying, grinding, and sealing.
- Conduct minor installations, sink resets, faucet adjustments, and support reinforcements as needed.
- Communicate with customers to explain service procedures and set realistic expectations.
- Document service visits, including photos and written reports.
- Maintain tools, supplies, and vehicle organization.
- Follow company safety policies and OSHA standards during all fieldwork.
- Coordinate with office staff and project managers to schedule service calls efficiently.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in countertop fabrication, installation, or stone repair.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, polishers, and adhesives such as Akemi or similar.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Customer-first mindset and professional demeanor.
- Ability to lift and move heavy stone materials (up to 75 lbs) with assistance.
- Valid driver"s license and clean driving record.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Experience with granite, quartz, marble, and solid surface materials preferred.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in reading shop drawings and field measurements.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
- OSHA Compliance.
Work Conditions:
- Primarily field-based with daily travel to job sites and customer homes.
- Occasional work in fabrication shop environment.
- May require occasional overtime or weekend work based on customer needs.
Compensation:
Pay Rate: $24 per hour
