Position Summary: Responsible coordinating operations on the Receiving Dock. Responsible for receiving, delivering and shipping of all supplies and equipment routed through the hospital receiving dock. Accountable for documenting receipt and transfer of goods from the receiving dock to destination. Protects inventory assets.

Position Performance Area/Expectations:
Key Responsibilities
Receiving
- Accepts/receives all shipments to the hospital dock, verifying the contents upon receipt.
- Inspects all supplies prior to delivery; returns damaged stock according to policy.
- Documents all purchase orders received in MMIS receiving module as per policy.
- Documents all transfers of receipt to departments for PO’s by obtaining signatures and filing signed department delivery documents, as per policy.
- Documents all transfers of receipt to departments for non-PO’s by obtaining signatures on daily log sheet and filing log sheet for future reference, as per policy.
- Understands the hazardous materials policy and knows the location of the master MSDS binders.
Supply Delivery
- Delivers supplies to appropriate department according to order; in a timely manner.
- Obtains appropriate signatures for all supplies delivered; files document in appropriate place.
Team Support
Assists CS department with general duties and stocking upon request.
Position Requirements:
- High school graduate / GED diploma required, college courses in business or nursing or degree preferred.
- Minimum of one year of experience in hospital Materials Management required.
- Accurate keyboarding and record keeping skills required.
- Ability to conduct business in a professional and ethical manner at all times.
- Pleasant and effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.
