Position Summary
The Urgent Care Practice Manager supports day to day operations in the clinic, performs clinical functions associated with their area of professional licensure, and supervises non provider clinic employees. The Practice Manager is so responsible for building relationships with schools and corporations to increase revenue streams. The Practice Manager will ensure a high level of client satisfaction and engagement is maintained with all occupational health clients.
Primary Position Responsibilities
Create the schedule for all non-clinical support staff, exclusive of providers.
Collaborate with the Medical Director of Urgent Care to ensure all clinician schedules are in place and clinical quality assurance modalities are in place and have ongoing monitoring as well as implement performance improvement strategies where appropriate.
Supervise and support clinic support staff, including but not limited to, being reasonably available by phone during clinic and non-clinic hours. Provide response to patient and clinician complaints and executes service recovery.
Implement and oversee strategies for seamless communication between the Urgent Care Centers and Primary Care Practices of Hunterdon Health System to promote continuity of care and promotion of the patient centered medical home model. Works with the Director of Primary Care practices and the Director of Specialty Care practices to improve integration of all care across service lines.
Provides administrative oversight for management of all Urgent Care Centers including but not limited to: Ordering of supplies, equipment, ensuring proper documentation procedures, working with vendor partners. Will cover office shift when staffing needs dictate, commensurate with their skill sets.
Provides business development of budgeting and financial planning for all Urgent Care Centers along with collaboration and oversight of the administrative team and Executive Director of Hunterdon Medical Management.
Works to promote business development of the Urgent Care centers and recruitment of business partners in the school health, corporate health and telemedicine service areas.
Qualifications
Minimum Education:
Required:
Previous experience in the health delivery held: LPN, Ceritifed Radiological Technician, Emergency Medical Technician, or Certified Medical Assistant. Must possess a current license In respective held. Must maintain Current CPR and a valid driver's license.
Preferred:
Associate’s or higher degree in business or management held
Minimum Years of Experience (Amount, Type and Variation):
Required:
3 to 5 years of management experience
Preferred:
Previous management experience of medical practices, particularly Urgent Care facilities. Previous experience in sales and customer service.

Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities:
Required:
Knowledge of and ability to use EKG machine, blood pressure cu?, thermometer, and stethoscope. High level of organization and the ability to multi-task and prioritize duties as required, Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle situations tactfully. Must have knowledge of patient registration process and drug screening procedures. Computer skills in word and excel as well as other computer analytic and processing programs.
