Job Description/Summary
Preferred Behavioral Health Group of NJ is seeking an associate therapist in the children’s outpatient therapy department. Seeking a playful, highly energetic and creative therapist to be an integral part of our highly committed team. Responsibilities
Individual needs of children served are addressed including assessment and evaluation, individual, group, and family therapy. Must maintain 25-30 therapy sessions per week. Weekly clinical supervision and ongoing consultation with multidisciplinary team offered.
Evenings and one weekend day is required
Competencies
- Commitment to maintaining 25-30 weekly therapy sessions.
- Conduct clinical assessments, formulate diagnosis and preliminary treatment plan.
- Written assessments include mental status examination, provisional multi-axial diagnosis, and preliminary treatment plan with recommendations for ongoing treatment.
- Provide individual, family and group therapy to assigned caseload:
- Perform treatment planning and review of client progress.
- Progress notes address treatment goals and objectives and changes in mental health status.
- Discharge planning and termination
Qualifications
- Education: Master's Degree in Social Work or Mental Health Counseling
- Associate clinical licensure: LAC, LSW
- Play therapy, sand play therapy, EMDR or TF-CBT training and Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
- Must be available to work evenings and one weekend day.
