Position Statement:
Designs and implements strategies for a comprehensive fundraising program to help North Country’s Foundation meet its mission. Designs and coordinates programs to ensure increased philanthropic support through community-based fund raising and individual donor cultivation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Designs and implements a philanthropic program that aligns with the Hospital’s strategy
- Cultivates relationships with current and potential donors across all constituencies, coordinates donor requests, and works with Corporate Accounting to assure proper transfer and recording of gifts
- Organizes and promotes special events designed to raise funds, broaden the donor base, and foster identity with North Country Hospital
- Plans and implements a comprehensive annual giving program, including an Annual Fund campaign and/or planned giving, capital campaigns as needed. Is responsible for the preparations of fundraising letters, brochures, proposals, solicitor support material and direct mail renewal/acquisition.
- Staffs and provides support and direction to the Board Foundation Committee
- Track and analyze fundraising performance metrics, adjusting strategies as needed to achieve annual goals.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Three to five years development/fundraising experience in a non-profit, community or healthcare organization.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required with the right combination of experience and skills.
- Excellent relationship building, presentation, and written communication skills.
- Experience with donor management software Blackbaud: Raiser’s Edge a plus.
- Proven project management skills.
- Ability to travel for donor networking with flexibility to be available on evenings and weekends.
