We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive growth through new syndication partnerships and strategic alliances. This role will focus on identifying, developing, and managing partnerships that expand our reach and enhance our product offerings in the digital advertising ecosystem. The Business Development Manager works closely with the VP of Business Development.
The Role You Will Have:
- Research industry and market trends
- Prospect potential new external partners, and form connections to build an active pipeline
- Have a proactive approach to the business priorities
- Represent System1 to external networks and at conferences
- In partnership with VP, Business Development, execute all aspects of the sales cycle, including cold reach-out, pitch presentation, and contract negotiation and execution
- Maintain partnership relationships and assist in resolving any issues as needed
- Partner with Account Managers and account specialists within the Syndication team to understand and establish BD priorities
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Identify and evaluate potential syndication partners, including publishers, ad tech companies, and content distributors
- Develop and execute strategic partnership initiatives that drive revenue growth and market expansion
- Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers at partner organizations
- Negotiate partnership terms, contracts, and revenue-sharing agreements
- Conduct market research to identify emerging opportunities and competitive threats
- Analyze industry trends and partner performance metrics to inform strategic decisions
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop go-to-market strategies for new partnerships
- Maintain deep knowledge of digital advertising technologies, including Google RSoC feeds, content syndication platforms, and related APIs
What You Will Bring:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in sales or a similar role
- Degree or education in a quantitative field like Business, Sales, or Marketing or equivalent experience
- Proven track record in digital advertising, ad tech, or related technology sectors
- Experience with syndication partnerships, content distribution, or search marketing preferred
- History of meeting or exceeding revenue target
- Background in lead generation, performance marketing, or customer acquisition
- Existing relationships within the digital advertising or publisher ecosystem
- Experience with contract negotiation and legal/compliance considerations

The U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $90,000 -$110,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
