POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
Properly operate ultrasound equipment in order to produce high-quality diagnostic cardiac images. Demonstrates knowledge of thoracic anatomy and internal structural anatomy of the heart. Knows the basic principles of Echocardiography, such as M-Mode, 2-Dimensional and Doppler Ultrasound. Performs various leadership activities and behaviors. Complies with instructions from immediate supervisor and/designee. Maintains a good working relationship with co-workers and University Health employees, patients, doctors and guests.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Must have an Associate Degree as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, and possess one of the following Registries: RDCS-with American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or RCS-with Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI). Must have at least two years of Echocardiography experience.
