We boast the latest longevity technology. Our 3T MRI is one of only three privately owned units with this magnetic field strength in British Columbia. This allows us to offer clients the most detailed imaging currently available, leading to faster scanning with more accurate results.
Position Summary:
To support Well Health Medical & Longevity Centre, Diagnostic Imaging Department in clinic operations and in delivering patient care. All work should be delivered to standards and procedures established in Diagnostics procedure manual or otherwise requested by the Clinic Manager.
What you will be doing:
- Coordinates patient care through the clinic: checking in, prepping, escorting to change room, answering questions, monitoring the waiting room.
- Answers inquiries by phone, email, and in-person in a helpful, respectful, and efficient manner.
- Ensures that all requisition and referral forms are legible and signed by a physician.
- Maintains appointment schedule in Velox (booking, billing, and reporting).
- Maintains Oscar EMR, including the patient chart; performs tasks (including linking reports/results, uploading requisitions, and referrals) in support of patient care.
- Relays MRI/CT scan preparations to the patient.
- Ensures MRI/CT are stocked appropriately and ensures that they are ready for the next patient (gowns, scrubs, sheets, etc.).
- Ensures patient confidentiality is thoroughly always practiced.
- Handles patient images and reports according to HIPPA regulations.
- Assist MRI/CT technologists and radiologists when requested.
- Maintain a strong communication between patients, technologists, and radiologists.
- Ensure waiting room, change room and recovery area are tidy and clean.
- Performs all other related clinical, administrative tasks or special tasks as required.
- Provides patient care with a customer service lens.
You Have:
- Previous experience in diagnostic imaging is preferred
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Computer proficiency – Microsoft Office Suite
- EMR proficiency – Oscar and Velox (an asset but not mandatory)
- Organized, accurate and efficient
- Proficiency in Cantonese and/or Mandarin is beneficial
- Ability to problem-solve
- Good sense of character and judgement
Clinical Skills and Abilities:
- English (fluent)
- Medical Terminology
- Medical Office Assistant certificate or 2+ years of office experience
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certificate
