Full-time, 40 hours per week

Must be able to drive within 50 mile radius of Stillwater

Paid mileage
-
Weekend rotation and on call responsibility as scheduled

Flexible schedule; includes working every other Friday through Monday with weekend on call

On call: may include weeknight rotation

JOB SUMMARY:
A clinically competent, registered, professional nurse who delivers care to patients at their place of residence through the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation. Effectively interacts with patient, significant others, and other health team members, while maintaining standards of professional nursing for the age groups served. Demonstrated a minimum of two years of experience as a RN. Able to function independently. Makes daily home visits with personal vehicle within 50-mile radius of Stillwater.
QUALIFICATIONS:

Licensed to practice in the state of Oklahoma.

Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.

Completed one year of employment at SMC with satisfactory performance evaluation or two years of previous experience.

Home telephone and dependable transportation required.

Current CPR card or completion of course within 30 days of hire.

Having and maintaining a valid Oklahoma Driver’s License and satisfactory driving record is a condition of employment.

Driving skills and automobile liability insurance required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must have strength and stamina for prolonged walking, standing, and dealing with stressful situations.

Demonstrates adequate vision or correctable with glasses, to read and write.

Able to hear, or correctable with hearing devices, and able to converse with others in person and over the phone.

Able to hear, see, and feel to accurately assess, monitor, and administer care.
-
Able to frequently lift at least 60 lbs., reach, pull, push, bend, stoop, and kneel.
-
Possess fine motor skills and hand/eye coordination to give care (i.e.: insert catheters, start IVs, administer medications, and handle instruments).
