About the role
This position is responsible for packaging compounded medications for shipment via FedEx and managing other Shipping Specialists in the shipping department. This is a full-time position, with a traditional schedule, reporting to the Customer Care Manager.
What you"ll do
- Prepare and package patient medications for shipment via FedEx
- Prepare patient medications for pick-up
- Manage other Shipping Specialists and ensure proper workflow
- Custom package patient medications by client required branded materials and requirements
- Differentiate packaging between refrigerated and regular products
- Scan and communicate with patients via customer app with FedEx tracking number, as appropriate
- Monitor and follow-up on FedEx tracking of patient and facility shipments
- Escalate shipping issues as needed
- Maintain and file packing lists
- Order and maintain packaging and supplies used for shipping
- Manage and communicate with clients on specific branded packaging inventory that"s needed to replenish
- Assist departments such as marketing, customer service, data entry, and lab with small projects
- Maintain a clean working environment
- Participate in trainings as needed
- Any other duties necessary to ensure the functionality of the business
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 2 years experience in shipping
- Experience and familiarity with FedEx
- Pass drug screen test, background check, pre-employment verification process
- Read, understand, and be compliant with HIPAA
- Working Conditions: Standing, walking, sitting, reaching above shoulders, reaching waist level, reaching below knee, climbing, lifting above shoulder up to 20 lbs and lifting waist level up to 20 lbs. Occasional handling of 50 lbs ice pack boxes.

- Able to communicate effectively, both verbal and written, in the English language
- Ability to work with technology including but not limited to Propel, Teams, Zendesk, Guru, Outlook, and HealNow

- Ability to problem solve effectively
- Ability to follow policies and procedures

Valor's pay band range for this position is $20 to $24 per hour. This salary range may include multiple levels. Your level is based on our assessment of your interview performance and experience, which you can always ask the hiring manager about to understand in more detail. Salary is just one component of Valor's total compensation package for employees.
