ABOUT THE ROLE
The primary role of the Multimedia Designer is designing, editing & producing video & audio content for company Web sites, social media Web sites, streaming and linear TV, creating and developing responsive email communications, third-party online advertising, and quick turn graphic design production projects.
Additional responsibilities may include collaborating with Web Designers, IT on UX Design for the company websites including production of Wireframes, User Flows & Prototypes. This position also provides technical assistance, training, & usability testing for the Creative Services team.
The person will need to be able to create innovative designs while keeping overall brand consistency with existing digital and print designs and must have knowledge of Composition, Typography and User-Centered Design.
EDUCATION
The preferred candidate will hold a bachelor’s degree in a Graphic Design, Video Design, Web Design or related design field and will consider associate degree with applicable experience.
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED
- 2-4 years of experience in graphic design and video creation, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work.
- 2-4 years designing & creating email marketing communications using brand standards.
- Strong knowledge of cross platform e-mail design and testing. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics (or Sales Force) a plus.
- Good sense of AI generators and knowledge of current trends in AI in the creative industry.
- Ability to come to the table with compelling creative solutions on a consistent basis and apply to all projects.
- Understanding of marketing fundamentals and trends.
- Expert knowledge in Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop, In-Design, Animate, Edge, Dreamweaver, and After Effects.
- Knowledge of UX Design & Web Design conventions, optimization and best practices.
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS PREFERRED
The preferred candidate has noteworthy experience in the following areas:
- Strong understanding of HTML, HTML5 & CSS code.
- Strong Graphic/Web/Interactive portfolio required.
- Expert knowledge in Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop, In-Design, Animate, Edge, Dreamweaver, and After Effects.
- Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Dynamics).
- Knowledge of current browsers and cross browser compatibility issues.
- Good oral and written communicator that enjoys working as part of a team.
- Must be a self-starter who manages time well while working through a prioritized task queue.
- Must be able to collaborate with graphic designers, e-marketers and marketers as team members.
- Able to define and scope their own tasks for large project development to work well under pressure and aggressively strive to meet short notice deadlines.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Video Creation & Production – Storyboarding, production & post-production of video & audio and distribution via all related channels (digital media, social media, presentations, web, etc.).
- Create concepts and prototypes for review.
- Edit and produce high-quality video content for various platforms.
- Import, organize, and edit raw footage using video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro. Incorporate motion graphics, animations, and special effects to enhance the storytelling.
- Email marketing – Responsive design and development, includes testing for cross-device compatibility on desktop, mobile and tablet using Litmus. This position also provides technical assistance to 3rd party vendors with implementing email campaigns.
- Graphic Design – Works as a design artist creating on- and off-line ads, social media units, direct mail, flyers, customer documents, internal communication materials, etc. Utilizes the Globus family of brands’ brand standards and applies creative thinking to layout, color & photo selection.
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with Creative Director, Creative Producer, and the business (Client) throughout projects. Provide regular updates, manage expectations, and address any concerns or questions promptly.
- Collaborate with marketing and creative teams to ensure brand consistency.
- Adapt existing campaigns, print designs and concepts to online media.
- Consultation on web design conventions, optimization, and best practices.
- Expert in the Adobe Creative Suite, including Premiere Pro, Photoshop, In-Design, Animate, Edge, Dreamweaver, and After Effects.
- Collaborate with internal teams and outside agencies and vendors to facilitate and coordinate digital creative design projects.
- Work closely with Marketing and IT Web teams to provide design assistance as needed.
- Have an intuitive grasp of how design relates to the consumer experience and must be passionate about keeping up with the latest online trends to integrate new design practices.
- Contributing to a team effort by accomplishing related results or projects as needed.
- Managing multiple projects in a timely and cost-effective manner.
ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT
The function of the North America Marketing Department is to generate demand for the Globus family of brands travel products amongst the travel-trade and consumers in the US and Canada. This includes campaign planning and execution, promotional planning and direction, content management, external communication to our key audiences, and strategic direction for product. Key internal audiences include Marketing, Communications, Inside and Outside Sales, Product, Operations, IT across North America.
