Job Overview
Provide professional Grants Management services to include, but are not limited to, all pre-award, award, post-award activities/requirements.
Data management including collecting, aggregating, entering, and updating data maintained in existing government databases, spreadsheets and internet-based applications
Performance Analysis including assistance in collecting, aggregating, and analyzing various organizational, management, program, and financial characteristics and performance data at State, Regional, and National levels utilizing existing database and spreadsheet applications.
Responsibilities will include the following duties:
a. Develop written documentation including analytical reports, work plans, procedures, and written training materials to strengthen information and records management systems; develop procedures to ensure effective implementation of modifications to, and improvements in, information and records management systems as needed.
b. Fill in the data and route to all key staff the existing monthly dashboard report reflecting status of key areas.
c. Maintain official grant documents and other business-related grant materials in the official grants files via system(s) as required. Enter/record receipt of Financial Status Reports and audit reports. Maintain hard copy of resource materials.
d. Maintain the official permanent files, which record the Federal interest in all facilities purchased, renovated, or constructed with grant funds. Maintain the Property Tracking and Management System/Online Data Collection.
e. Develop forms and protocols to support internal data collection, conduct data collection and entry activities, and develop quality assurance processes to ensure the validity of data collection.
f. Compile and analyze data to identify both quantitative and qualitative results, highlight trends and patterns in data analysis, and identify and resolve reporting anomalies. Develop high quality written reports explaining results of data compilation and analysis activities. Prepare correspondence on the results of data analysis, including trend analysis, identification of areas of improvement, as well as recommendations for improvement.
g. Design and produce management information reports as directed by the COR.
h. Grant management services that may include budgetary and financial analysis of funding applications; review and analysis of grantee financial reports, information, and indicators; provision of accurate and timely regulatory and fiscal policy guidance to grantees; review and analysis of grantee waiver requests; review and analysis of applications for facility construction, purchase, and major renovation; and various activities related to the identification and mitigation of grantee risk factors, correction of regulatory compliance issues, and improvement of grantee performance. Assist Federal staff with conducting Enhanced Financial Reviews.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college, with a preference for a degree in Accounting, Business Management, or a related field.
- At least 2 years’ progressive professional experience related to the task activities
- Knowledge and experience with the administration of discretionary grants is desired
- Proven ability to effectively communicate (both verbally and orally), exercise sound judgment, ask questions and be open to the input and decisions of others.
- Experience aggregating, analyzing, charting, graphing and reporting on and presenting data gathered from multiple sources.
- Strong organizational, administrative and project coordination skills, and the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the proven ability to collaborate and build relationships with staff, clients, remote colleagues and supervisors, and others.
- Able to, both independently and collaboratively, solve problems, make decisions and support change.
- Computer, Internet and general proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word and PowerPoint; advanced knowledge and experience with Microsoft Excel is required; experience with Grant Solutions preferred.
- Ability to work independently and provide accurate deliverables on schedule.
- Ability to acquire government public trust.
Compensation Range: The salary range provided is determined by market value, internal equity, and the candidate's experience and qualifications. Offers will be extended within this range, though not all candidates will receive an offer at the upper limit.
