Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in therapeutic recreation, or a major in recreation and an option in therapeutic recreation, with completed clinical affiliations.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Preferred Qualifications
Current certification to practice as a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) through the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification (NCTRC).
One to two years of previous experience as a therapeutic recreation specialist with proficiency in the development of recreation activities.
