What You'll Be Doing
This isn't just a job—it's a calling. The Online Minister exists to help people advance in their journey with Christ in Tulsa, America, and the World. It is an exciting opportunity to play an integral part in our mission of helping people find their place in God's family, no matter where they are!
This role will partner with the Sr. Director of Communications in shaping the future of our online ministry. They will help lead our online services across platforms such as the Church Online Platform, Facebook, and YouTube, and will play a crucial role in creating a vibrant, welcoming, and engaging digital church experience for our growing online community.
Key responsibilities include building a pastoral and connected online environment, developing and equipping volunteers, executing follow-up processes, and ensuring smooth weekly service execution. This role plays a vital part in extending BattleCreek's mission beyond our physical walls— creating opportunities for deeper connection, discipleship, and outreach by connecting with people, wherever they are.
Your Day-to-Day
Every day looks different, but here's a snapshot of what you'll be up to:
- Oversee online services on the Church Online Platform, Facebook, and YouTube
- Ensure all platforms are set up and ready for all weekly services on Sunday
- Recruit, onboard, train, and develop a volunteer team for each service across platforms
- Create and manage engagement systems for individuals who engage or respond during services, including through emails
- Build and nurture the online community, understanding its needs and fostering a culture of care and connection
- Oversee and maintain the BattleCreek Mobile and TV App, ensuring that the online community remains engaged and supported
- Perform other church duties as assigned by the Senior Director of Communications to help all people, of all ages, all the time, advance in their journey with Christ
What We're Looking For
The must-haves for this role:
- Experience & Skills - We are looking for someone with:
- At least 1 to 2 years" experience in ministry with multisite experience a plus
- Experience leading teams of volunteers
- Exceptional communication skills with expertise engaging with and supporting an online community
- A pastoral heart with the ability to care for people digitally and in person
- Digital native with a strong understanding of social media, online platforms, and digital engagement
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a strong ability to manage multiple platforms and teams
- Technical proficiency with live streaming platforms and online service management will be helpful
- Faith & Culture Fit: We needs someone who believes that God's Presence changes everything! You excel in a fast-paced environment, embrace change with a positive attitude, and never settle for boredom because ministry is your calling! You will need to be about connecting with people digitally, organizing volunteers, and providing excellent care to the online community.

The Essentials
This role is full of variety—you might be in the office one day, online hosting a service the next, or behind the scenes making ministry moments happen. You'll be part of EVERY Sunday and special online event, but some evening and weekend hours are part of the our rhythm, because life-changing ministry doesn't just happen 9 to 5. While it's primarily an in-office role, there's some flexibility to work remotely when it makes sense.
This role is primarily office-based but may involve some physical activity, including standing, lifting (up to 20 pounds), kneeling, setting up equipment, or prepping for events—sometimes even late at night. Don't worry; we'll ensure you know what to expect!
