Assists Interventional Radiologists with patient care, managing administrative tasks, and contributing to a smooth running medical clinic, while ensuring safe patient centered care.
This is a non-benefits-eligible Medical Assistant position offering approximately 12-15 hours per week and eligible for 401(k) deferrals. The role supports two IR clinic locations in Denver, with up to 6 hours per site, totaling 12–15 hours across two days each week.
Essential Functions:
- Escorts patients to examination rooms and prepares them for the provider by verifying medical information and measuring vital signs, including taking blood pressures and manual ABIs.
- Recording patients' medical history and vital signs in the electronic chart.
- Instructs, escorts, and prepares patients for clinical consults, wound checks, and minor invasive procedures.
- Prepares exam supplies and maintains a sterile environment for performing provider.
- Performs a variety of tasks that keep the IR office organized and clean as requested.
- Maintains and ensures the examination room is clean and stocked with the appropriate supplies, medications, and linen.
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Education/Experience:
- Certified as a Medical Assistant (CCMA or CMA) required
- One + years prior experience with hands-on patient care preferred
- Reliable transportation and a Clean Motor Vehicle required
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Able to work independently and with high attention to detail
- Proficient with the RIS and PACS, eClinincal software highly preferred
- Courteous, respectful and excellent customer service skills
- Able to communicate clearly and patiently with medical staff and patients
- Must have prior hands-on experience and ability to display compassion for patients
- Able to perform additional tasks quickly and efficiently
Salary $20-$25 per hour depending upon experience. Mileage reimbursement for travel between locations if occurring in the same day.
