Diakon Behavioral Health Services offers a range of counseling and behavioral health services to children, teens, families and adult individuals. Services are provided through counseling centers in Chester County, Mechanicsburg, New Bloomfield, Lewisburg, Montoursville and Williamsport as well as within several public-school buildings. Specialized programs include family-based mental health services, provided in the community and in-home, addictions counseling, trauma-focused therapy and SPIN, a service designed to assist children and youths who have problematic sexual behaviors.
General Responsibilities:
- Responsible for directing and administering clinical services and treatment planning.
- Establishes and maintains professional and supportive relationships with youth, families, referring personnel, treatment providers, and others involved in the lives of children and youth.
- Provides clinical and administrative supervision to case managers and counselors.
- Carries a caseload assigned, providing a wide range of therapeutic interventions, including individual, family, and/or group therapy, and regularly adjusts responsibilities to meet changing needs and program demands as needed.
Education/Training: A Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or a related field required.
Experience: A minimum of five (5) years' related experience normally required; supervisory experience preferred.
ADA: Ability to sit, stand, bend, stoop, reach, and lift items weighing up to 25 lbs.; visual and auditory skills.
