The Pozez Jewish Community Center of Northern Virginia (Pozez JCC), located in Fairfax, Virginia, is a nonprofit, social service organization that builds community and enriches lives. Job Overview
Our J requires the talents and skills of an experienced sales associate. The successful candidate should be outgoing with a persuasive attitude, excellent customer relations skills and able to improve sales while facilitating lasting bonds with core membership base. This role requires confident speaking skills in front of small and larger groups in many different types of environments. This person will undertake prospecting and lead generation, meeting sales quotas, and community outreach. Working in a collaborative, team-oriented environment, the Membership Sales Associate will work toward meeting membership monthly goals.
Essential Position Duties:
- Give tours and sell new memberships, including personal training and other fitness and wellness programs at the point-of-sale.
- Implement retention strategies to increase loyalty and retain membership.
- Promote membership benefits and discounts to all members and non-members on an ongoing basis.
- Maintain up to date marketing material including new member packages, information racks and inform Membership Director when supplies are running low.
- Work with all departments to ensure programmatic information is shared correctly across the organization.
- Directly participate in the new member on-boarding process by sending out appropriate communications and providing new member information.
- Actively seek referrals from current members.
- Handle all phone and walk-in inquiries, documenting contacts in company's CRM.
- Create a positive and memorable experience for all who come to the Pozez JCC.
- Generate prospects lists from leads provided and demonstrate excellence in follow-up.
- Represent the JCC at community events to promote programs and services.
- Facilitate positive member experience and minimize controllable disenrollment.
- Escalate member and non-member dissatisfaction to Membership Director.
- Keep a clean and neat work environment.
- Ensure security procedures are followed for all those who enter the building.
- Flexible to perform other tasks requested by Membership Director.
Qualifications:Applicants should have a high school degree and Experience in Sales with outreach and enrollment.
- Well versed in customer service, sales, and retention with a strong background in relationship management.
- Should have the ability to multi-task and prioritize duties.
- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Outlook, MS office and willing to learn the company's CRM (Traction Rec/Salesforce/UPace).
- Ability to quickly respond professionally to prospective members, current members and supervisor.
- Should be an independent thinker with ability to develop routines for effective work performance.
- Experience in the Fitness industry preferred, not required.
Hours:
Friday 11am - 6pm, Saturday 10am -4 pm, and one weekday (TBD) 12pm - 7pm In person, on site.
Compensation
Part Time Position $18/hr
