Responsibilities
- Act as a Tier-2 technician for customers seeking support for POTS, ISDN, and other copper pair related telecom technologies.
- Skilled in employing TDRs, Multimeters, and Butt Sets and amp and probe, to accurately diagnose and troubleshoot telephone outage, ensuring swift resolution and minimal downtime during system outages.
- Proficient in utilizing software as a technician to efficiently troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolves technical issues and outage tickets.
- Identify and address issues promptly, liaising with service groups to ensure proper escalation during outages or degraded system performance.
- Collaborate with partner vendors to facilitate moves, upgrades, and patch management of voice infrastructure.
- Coordinating with vendors to ensure timely resolution of network outages or periods of reduced performance.
- Contribute to the documentation of voice systems by providing clear written and verbal communication.
Qualifiers
- Associate Degree with 2+ years of related experience; additional relevant experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.
- Knowledge of POTS and ISDN telephony system architectures and configurations.
- Current Security+ or equivalent DoD 8570 IAT level II certification.
- Currently possess a final DoD Secret security clearance
