Oversees the smooth operation of the Payroll processes.
Maintain the time & attendance and payroll processing systems based on Accounting pay practices.
Train users on payroll software in order to ensure they have the skills necessary to maintain time cards for their staff and achieve best usage of the software.
Process bi-weekly payroll, payroll corrections, and provide required payroll reporting.
Point of contact for third party vendors and external resources to maintain payroll software programming and updates to accommodate Human Resource policies and Accounting pay practices.
Provide required Payroll reporting.
Run and/or develop reporting from the payroll processing system for the organization.
Help meet governmental regulations as required on behalf of Payroll including but not limited to:
Ensure monthly, quarterly and annual tax reporting is accurate.
Monitor tax issues to remain up to date.
Monitor out-of-state employees and ensure appropriate tax ids are obtained and set up in the payroll processing system.
Other duties including but not limited to:
Acts as backup for Accounts Payable.
Audit payroll information to ensure the Human Resource policies and Accounting pay practices are being followed.
Prepare workpapers for annual financial audit and cost report preparation.
Assists Controller and Accounting Manager in special projects.
Other duties as assigned by manager.
