About the role
- We are seeking a Human Resources Manager with at least five (5) years of experience to join our team. The HR Manager will report to the Director of Administration and support all aspects of the Human Resources function for Anza. This includes, but is not limited to, talent acquisiton and management, training and development, compensation and benefits, and compliance. The HR Manager will play a critical role in building the HR function for Anza, developing and implementing best-in-class policies and procedures while also setting the strategy for ongoing HR operations.
What you"ll do
Talent Acquisition
- Manage entire recruiting process, from identification of potential candidates through the offer stage.
- Collaborate with department managers to understand the skills and competencies required for openings.
- Assist with scheduling, pre-screens, feedback sessions, etc as needed.
Talent Management
- Oversee employee onboarding, training, and development programs.
- Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation, and retention of human capital.
- Manage ongoing performance review process.
- Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances, or other issues.
- Monitor and report on workforce and succession planning.
- Consult with management and provide HR guidance when appropriate.
Information Data Management
- Perform the accurate and timely processing of personnel changes, ensuring the integrity of all HR data.
- Provide support for the payroll, time & attendance processes, and systems.
- Provide reports and analysis of information.
- Assist in performing audits as needed.
Benefits and Compensation
- Manage employee benefits and compensation plans, including annual benefits renewals and changes to individual or company compensation plans.
Compliance
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Provide clarification to employees and managers on policies and procedures covering terms and conditions of employment and advise on new and forthcoming employment legislation.
- Assist in the completion of audits and/or compliance reporting.
Training and Development
- Manage and seek to continually improve employee trainings and opportunities for professional development (internal and external).
- Support employee development plans and help develop and monitor career path programs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in human resources or related field.
- Previous experience as HR Manager or similar role.
- Thorough knowledge of Human Resource law, principles, and best practices that relate to recruitment, payroll, compensation, employee relations, leave management, performance management and training and development.
- A strong attention to detail while maintaining a focus on delivering value for all relevant takeholders.
- Experience with various aspects of Human Resources including recruiting and on-boarding programs.
- Must be able to own day-to-day management of HRIS system, payroll, benefits, recruiting (including onboarding), and other employee-centric functionalities
- Experience implementing HRIS and other systems is a huge plus.
- Ability to think strategically, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a startup environment
- Excellent active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company.
- PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP preferred.
