POSITION OVERVIEW
Safely operate heavy-duty trucks; preparing, loading, and transporting large mobile open top and compactor containers to disposal sites; transfer or recycle facilities and customer locations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
·Operate vehicle and use equipment in a manner that aligns with company, local, state, and federal regulations, and requirements; report deviations from these expectations to supervisor immediately.
·Immediately report service interruptions caused by blocked containers, closed lots, street/alley way closures, or other safety hazards.
·Immediately report safety hazards or concerns to direct supervisor; document accidents and injuries in a timely manner.
·Perform pre and post trip equipment inspections; document inspections per the Drive Vehicle Inspection Report (DVIR).
·Inspect all containers and immediately report if the need to repair a container or if a container needs to be replaced.
·Work in conjunction with next level manager and/or dispatch to review existing routes and make route adjustments that improve efficiency and safety.
·Safely use smart phone to communicate route, status, and other important information via designated application or methods.
·Receive and relay customer requests to next level manager and/or dispatch in a timely and clear manner.
·Clearly document and submit customer tickets in a timely manner.
·After emptying customer containers, close lids / doors, and place container right side up in allocation that does not block driveways, alleyways, or street traffic.
·Adheres to all position specific guidelines which including following proper check-in/check-out procedures, attending required training, completing required documentation, and assisting other drivers as needed.

REQUIRED & DESIRED EXPERIENCE
·Valid CDL license (Class A or B)
·Minimum 1-2 years' experience driving large trucks
· Clean motor vehicle report (MVR)
· Attention to detail
· Excellent customer service skills
