Join Hygea Healthcare at our new 16 bed substance use detox facility in Linthicum, MD. We are opening in June 2024 and are looking for a housekeeper to join our team!!
Housekeeper perform any combination of light cleaning duties in a clean and orderly manner. Duties may include making beds, replenishing linens, cleaning rooms and halls, and vacuuming.
Essential Job Functions
• Clean and sanitize patient rooms, restrooms, tubs and showers, day rooms.
• Clean offices, public areas, laundry rooms, and nurses' stations.
• Clean all fixtures and accessories in all areas.
• Vacuum and spot clean all carpeted areas.
• Sweep and mop all tile and concrete areas.
• Pull trash.
• Replenish paper towels, soap, toilet paper and liquid soap, as needed.
• Water shrubs and plants inside the facility.
• Issue linens and ensure adequate linen supply by taking regular inventories.
• Monitor inventory of housekeeping chemicals and supplies and report to Supervisor.
• Must be able to work in a cooperative manner with co-worker, managers, clients and prospective clients.
• Must be able to work in constant state of alertness as to perform the job in a safe manner.
• Perform other duties as requested by supervisor.
Education and Experience
• High School diploma or equivalent GED preferred
• Two years" experience
• Ability to read, write and communicate with people and follow instructions.
• Must be able to push carts, equipment, and supplies to all areas of facility.
• Must be able to lift trash and linen weighing from 25 to 35 lbs.
• Must be able to bend, stoop and climb.
• Must be able to use mops, brooms, vacuums, wall washing equipment and high dusting equipment, which would require working below waist level up to over head level.
