Position Overview
Foxit is seeking a strategic, globally-minded Director of People & Culture to lead the people strategy for the Americas region while providing management oversight of People & Culture operations in APAC. This individual will serve as a key business partner to senior leadership and will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer (COO).
In this role, the Director will lead the
U.S.-based People & Culture team and collaborate closely with regional leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to align people strategies with Foxit’s business goals. They will also maintain a strong working partnership with Foxit’s China HR function to ensure a consistent, high-quality employee experience for our China-based team members—
without direct oversight of the China HR organization. Fluency in both Mandarin and English is essential.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute regional people strategies for the Americas and APAC regions, managing direct HR operations in the U.S. and serving as a strategic partner to APAC teams.
People Management: Lead and mentor the U.S. People & Culture team; foster collaboration with Foxit’s EMEA People & Culture lead and other global counterparts.
Employee Experience: Champion a positive, inclusive, and high-performance culture by designing engagement, feedback, and development programs tailored to local and regional needs.
China Partnership: Partner closely with Foxit’s China HR team to support a unified and engaging employee experience for China-based employees, sharing resources, aligning practices where applicable, and collaborating on cross-border initiatives.
Organizational Development: Drive talent development programs, performance management, and succession planning across the Americas and APAC.
Compliance & Risk: Ensure full legal compliance with employment laws across relevant jurisdictions in North America and APAC.
HR Operations: Implement and continuously improve scalable HR systems, policies, and tools to support the full employee lifecycle.
Change Management: Guide the organization through change with a focus on clear communication, support systems, and employee resilience.
DEI Commitment: Embed diversity, equity, and inclusion into regional strategies, while aligning with Foxit’s global DEI framework.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as a cultural and strategic bridge between the People function and the business, ensuring alignment across geographies and departments.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM, CIPD) preferred.
Minimum 10 years of progressive HR leadership experience, preferably within a global SaaS or technology environment.
Fluency in both Mandarin and English is required.
Deep understanding of HR practices, employment legislation, and cultural nuances across North America and APAC.
Demonstrated success in leading HR teams, supporting international employee populations, and driving strategic change.
Strong interpersonal, influencing, and communication skills with experience advising senior executives.
Proven ability to build inclusive, people-first programs that scale with business growth.
Experience working cross-functionally across time zones, cultures, and legal landscapes.
Proficiency with modern HRIS platforms and tools.
Compensation
Base Salary: $200,000+ (depending on experience and location)
Bonus: 15% KPI-based performance bonus
