ABOUT US:
SAG-AFTRA Federal Credit Union was founded in 1962 as Los Angeles AFTRA Federal Credit Union, a financial resource for members of the American Federation of Television & Radio Artists. In 1971 the name was changed to Southern California AFTRA-SAG Federal Credit Union to reflect eligibility of members of the Screen Actors Guild. The credit union went national in 1976, and in 2015 changed its name to SAG-AFTRA Federal Credit Union.
Our membership is comprised of individuals who work in the entertainment industry and their families. As noted above SAG-AFTRA union members are eligible to join the credit union. Membership is also open to members of the American Federation of Musicians, Writers Guild of America, Producers Guild of America, IATSE and many more!

BASIC FUNCTIONS:
Deliver an effortless experience to the credit union's membership through professional, friendly, and courteous interactions. Provide information and complete tasks associated with the credit union's deposit and lending products, and/or services in accordance with credit union policies and regulatory requirements. Provide consistent and exceptional service to internal and external members. The position will require flexible hours and will require travel to support teams at other locations.
ESSENTIAL:
- Deliver professional member service in accordance with the credit union's policies and member service standards.
- Excellent analytical, written and communication skills.
- Excellent accuracy and attention to detail.
- Assist members in person, by email, and on the telephone.
- Resolve member issues related to their accounts in a timely and professional manner. This may include transaction disputes, address changes, etc.
- Open deposit accounts and originate loans.
- Update existing member account and loan records.
- Send out notices and/or letters as needed.
- Process incoming mail as needed.
- Research member requests and provide responses in a timely and professional manner.
- Conduct teller transactions, such as deposits and withdrawals, accurately and following established guidelines.
- Balance checks and/or cash drawer.
- Complete ongoing job and compliance training.
- Actively promote appropriate products and services to meet individual, departmental and company goals.
- Contribute to a supportive and positive work environment.
- Promote a cooperative team environment.
- Understand policies and procedures and know the laws, rules and regulations related to the position and credit union.
- Mandatory compliance with all BSA/AML regulations, forms, and procedures, including: maintaining awareness of and reporting suspicious activity; completing annual training; notifying immediate supervisor of any substantive discrepancies.

- Understanding of all applicable state and federal regulation.
- Knowledge of the credit union's products, services, policies, and procedures.
- Knowledge of the credit union's banking application and systems.

- Ability to interact and communicate effectively and professionally with external and internal members.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and all programs/software applicable to department.
- Ability to make recommendations that will meet the needs of our members.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, professional environment.
- Office setting.
- May be required to sit for long periods of time.
- May be required to lift up-to 15 lbs.
- Occasional travel to branch locations, training, or vendor meetings may be required.

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 1+ years' experience in a financial institution preferred.
- Experience with financial institution computer systems.
- Financial products sales experience.
- Existing credit union experience is highly preferred.
PAY GRADE INFO:
To provide greater transparency to candidates, we share base pay ranges for all our job postings regardless of State. We set standard pay ranges for all roles based on function and level of expertise, benchmarked against similar stage growth companies. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including, skills, depth of work experience and relevant licenses/credentials, and may vary from the amounts listed below. The base range for this position is: $19.24 to $28.85 hourly.
