Position Summary:
As a Medical Office Assistant at WELL Health Hemorrhoid Treatment Centres, you’ll be an essential part of the patient care experience. Working closely with physicians and clinic staff, you will help facilitate smooth clinic operations and provide outstanding service and support to patients. This role requires strong multitasking abilities, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering compassionate care in a fast-paced, clinical setting.
What you will be doing:
- Greet and register patients, verify insurance, and process payments
- Schedule and confirm appointments, managing patient flow throughout the day
- Escort patients to and from exam rooms and clean rooms between appointments
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records
- Answer phones, respond to inquiries, and manage clinic correspondence and faxes
- Assist with minor clinical tasks and support physicians as needed
- Handle billing tasks and submit insurance claims
- Ensure exam rooms and administrative areas are clean, stocked, and organized
- Contribute to a welcoming, efficient, and patient-focused clinic environment
You Have:
- Previous medical office experience is an asset
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to commute reliably between North York and Mississauga locations
- Comfort working independently and as part of a team
