We are looking for a skilled Facilities Technician to ensure our facilities are safe, functional, and welcoming. This role is crucial in providing the optimal environment for our young learners to grow and thrive.
Our Preschool institution is an established and steadily expanding network of private schools dedicated to fostering improved education today to craft a brighter world for tomorrow.
Key Responsibilities:
• Handle maintenance tasks including plumbing, electrical repairs, and general upkeep.
• Conduct routine landscaping to maintain a pleasant outdoor environment and implement preventative maintenance measures.
• Ensure all areas meet safety and health regulations.
• Promptly respond to and resolve maintenance issues across multiple sites with little guidance and knowledge to both diagnosis and complete tasks independently.
• Collaborate with external contractors for specialized tasks providing recommendations to leadership staff as best course of action.
Qualifications:
• Extensive experience in plumbing, electrical systems, landscaping, and general maintenance.
• Ability to identify issues and implement quick, effective solutions.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and sites.
• Knowledge of safety regulations pertaining to childcare facilities.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe, efficient, and nurturing environment for children.
Essential Additional Duties
- Respond to emergency situations and take appropriate action to ensure the safety of children and staff.
- Develop and implement procedures for the safe handling and storage of hazardous materials.
- Provide training and support to staff on proper maintenance and safety procedures.
