Job Summary
The Order Management Specialist is primarily responsible for supporting the customer after an order is placed. They regularly interface with both customers and suppliers to accurately interpret, document, and communicate information. This role is critical in maintaining customer satisfaction and earning supplier respect—areas in which TEVET is widely recognized within the industry.
The objective is to deliver an unmatched level of service that supports the warfighter, while offering customers and suppliers value-added incentives to strengthen and grow their partnership with TEVET. Our mission is their mission. They trust us to make the complicated easy.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Interact with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery to customers.
·Identify key issues with suppliers. Notify management of increasing trends, unusual activity, or repeated inability to meet standards.
·Oversee and update orders with accurate shipping/tracking information in our ERP system and communicate status to customers and internal stakeholders.
·End-to-end order fulfillment: Fulfill orders, generate packing slips and proof of delivery, and enter required details into customer portals.
- Deliver effective solutions to strengthen supplier and customer relationships.
·Facilitate returns to vendors and communicate updates to the customer and inside sales team.
·Actively participate and lead in weekly team and supplier sessions.
- Identify and escalate supplier issues that impact fulfillment, notifying management of trends or recurring concerns.
·Consistently seek and suggest opportunities for improvement.
Work Environment
Primarily Monday through Friday office hours schedule, on-site at TEVET"s headquarters, or at their home office. May need to work and be available outside of primary hours to meet customer and business needs. Some travel may be required.
Physical Demands
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit. The employee is frequently required to talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk and use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
Qualifications
Education / Experience
·Two years related experience and/or training; or a bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
·Prior experience in customer service. Must display proven ability to communicate effectively and professionally via phone, email, and in person.

Equipment Proficiency
