Job Summary:
Functions as telephone receptionist, and performs patient registration and patient exam scheduling. Request that previous diagnostic examinations are located and available for review. Scheduling of patients for consultation, simulation and treatment. Perform central telephone activities for the department. Demonstrate a working knowledge of office equipment to include, PC’s, Fax and telephone operation. Demonstrates knowledge and skill to appropriately communicate and interact with patients, families, visitors, and vendors of all age groups while being sensitive to their cultural and religious beliefs. Reports directly to the Radiation Oncology Office Manager.
Performance Expectations:
Demonstrates appropriate knowledge of exam preps and procedures when scheduling diagnostic imaging examinations.

- Demonstrates appropriate skill sets and knowledge needed for centralized scheduling process.
- Demonstrates clinical desktop skill set when scheduling appointments, order entry and correction, labels, etc. needed to process appointment.

Qualifications:
Education/Skills
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Work Experience:
Experience in a physician office or hospital setting preferred. Computer experience required.
Mental Demands:
Must have good oral and written communication skills.
