Job Summary: To plan, layout and perform a wide range of carpentry, cabinet-making and related construction and building maintenance duties. To construct, alter and repair hospital, office and related building systems and furnishings. To assist with general maintenance activities as directed.
Qualifications:
- Completion of high school and at least two years of specialized training in painting, sheet rock installation, carpet installation, framing, or ceramic tile.
- Sheet metal, cabinet making and locksmith courses recommended.
- Ability to read blueprints and drawings.
- Ability to manage and motivate subordinates.
- Some skill in dealing with departmental and hospital staff.
- Requires thorough knowledge and skill in carpentry and cabinet making.
- Considerable knowledge of metal stud framing, and dry wall installation.
