Summary:
Petmate is seeking an experienced EDI Analyst to lead EDI initiatives and drive transformation and modernization efforts. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the entire EDI project lifecycle, from initiation to completion, and ensuring seamless integrations with trading partners while adhering to regulatory compliance standards. They will also need to effectively manage the EDI backlog and ensure the ongoing operational efficiency of the EDI system.

Key Responsibilities:
- Work cross-functionally with IT teams and stakeholders to foster a culture of high-quality execution.
- Lead and coordinate projects in partnership with peers and external partners.
- Implement a comprehensive EDI strategy aligned with the transformation projects and overall business objectives.
- Design, develop, and implement EDI integrations with all types of trading partners (Retail, Logistic, etc.).
- Lead migrations from legacy EDI platforms minimizing disruptions and ensuring seamless data flow.
- Prioritize and manage the EDI backlog ensuring timely delivery and resolution of support issues.
- Ensure compliance with data security standards and maintain data integrity.
- Identify opportunities to streamline EDI implementation processes and improve system efficiency.
- Prepare and provide effective executive summary on EDI roadmaps, deliverables and value propositions.
- Diagnose and resolve EDI issues, including mapping, validation, and transmission problems between trading partners and/or the company ERP.
- Document all EDI projects, system architecture. system processes, and any discovered known issues.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience managing EDI systems.
- In depth knowledge of EDI standards (EDIFACT, X12) and protocols (AS2, SFTP).
- In depth knowledge of EDI document types (including, but not limited to 810, 850, 855, 856, and 860).
- Experience EDI software platforms such as Gentran, LexiCom, and Sterling B2Bi.
- Knowledge of data formats (XML, JSON).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Must be able to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Team player with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams within and outside of IT.
- Adaptability to changing business requirements and technological advancements.
- Up to date with modern technology solutions and capabilities.
- Fundamental understanding of IT’s role in an organization, common IT practices, policies, and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with EDI integrations in Oracle EBS environments.
- Experience with PRISM for EDI.
- Experience implementing API integrations.
- Experience integrating with third-party providers such as Rithum, SPS, TrueCommerce or similar.
- Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, Bash, Ruby, Perl, and JavaScript).
- Knowledge of global trade compliance regulations.
- Proficiency with mapping tools other than Gentran.
- Certifications in EDI or related technologies.
Education and/or Experience:
Relevant field bachelor’s degree and/or compensating career history.
Language Skills:
Must be able to read, right and verbally communicate in English to all levels of the organization.
Computer Skills:
Must be proficient in the use of PowerPoint, Visio (or similar), Excel, and a PM software (Smartsheet is preferred).
