Job Responsibilities
A. Monitor cardiac rhythms and document any changes to appropriate physician. Holter and MCT.
• Observe, measure, and interpret rhythms.
• Contact patients that are not transmitting data or are non-compliant.
• Troubleshoot on the phone or schedule troubleshooting appointments.
• Input patient information into Arrhythmia/Centricity system.
B. Document/address inventory of all MCT/Holter monitors as needed.
C. Monitor incoming data from patients with implanted cardiac devices such as pacemakers, defibrillators and loop recorders.
D. Work as call center for all SLHV offices for after hours, weekends, holidays and inclement weather/snow days.
• Document new patients in mobility.
• Take emergent STEMI calls and transfer to appropriate physician on call.
• Triage after hour calls to appropriate on call NP/physician.
• Document all after hour calls.
• Respond to device alerts.
• Work with patients to schedule/cancel appointments and notify appropriate location/office of changes.
• Monitor off hour security for SLHV offices via remote cameras.
E. Maintain the hospital’s ongoing patient census and the Dr’s rounding list for the following day.
F. Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
• High school or GED required.
• Exceptional arrhythmia fundamentals.
• Minimum 2 year telemetry experience.
• Able to work weekends and holidays.
• Computer knowledge required, electronic medical records (EMR) highly preferred.
• Must have excellent customer service skills.
• Must be able to travel within main locations at SLHV.
• Must be detailed oriented and able to multi-task.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Must be self-motivated individual.
• Strong inter-personal skills.
• Able to work independently with minimal guidance and as part of a team.
• Multilingual and American Sign Language (ASL) plus
Work Environment
This is a remote position, must have appropriate internet and remote work capabilities.
Physical Requirements
This position requires full range of body motion. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, walk, and stand; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands repetitively to handle or operate standard office equipment; reach with hands and arms; and lift up to 25 pounds.
