About the role

What you"ll do
- Perform patient assessments
- Monitor patients for change in status
- Collaborate with medical providers in the development of individualized treatment plans
- Administer medication and provide treatments according to a medical provider's orders
- Provide medical care in emergencies and facilitate the transport to a higher level of care when needed
- Supervise LPNs and Medication Aids
- Expand knowledge and capabilities by participating in staff meetings and completing nursing education modules relevant to correctional healthcare
- Provide patient education
- Provide patient care and ensure methods comply with all nursing standards, as well legal, ethical and facility standards. Hard working, enthusiastic, professional who will provide quality patient-centric care
- Must be team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to regularly communicate with corporate office and other members of the team
- One (1) or more years of clinical experience preferred
Qualifications
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state in which you work, or a valid compact state nurse license
- Current CPR Certification
