Job Summary:
As a Biorepository Material Analyst you will be accountable overseeing sample management and ensuring proper receipt, storage and shipment of client materials, lab supplies, and commercial GMP products within a biorepository facility.
Job Description:
The Material Associate is responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of critical bio-inventory by performing tasks like receiving samples, performing quality control checks, accessioning, data entry, assisting with equipment preventative maintenance and qualification and maintaining accurate inventory records, all while adhering to strict protocols and biosafety guidelines.
Responsibilities:
·Follow company policies, procedures, and client specific instructions.
·Utilize LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System Software) for material management. A barcode scanner must be used in conjunction with the LIMS to track material movement.
·Receiveshipmentsandaccession client material into appropriate storage locations as per client requirements.
·Prepare material for shipment as requested by clients.
·Coordinate and approve client projects as related to sample transfer and storage of regulated material.
·Coordinate with Director, shipping personnel and clients to ensure client shipments arrive in good condition.
·Manage alarms for cloud based monitoring system of environmental conditions.
·Maintainequipmentandperformroutinescheduled maintenance as needed.
·Assist in supply chain management to ensure biorepository materials are available in appropriate quantity.
·Ensure compliance issues/concerns within the platform are appropriately evaluated, investigated, and resolved using online software QMS.Review SOP’s as necessary.
·Implement new policies and procedures for new compliance requirements and support evolving operations toward continual improvement.
·Identify areas for audit opportunities based on industry performance , regulatory focus areas and risk areas within the organizations.
·Perform necessary incoming and outgoing shipment inspections.
·Troubleshoot problems.
·Document and report damaged material.
·Notify management of nonconformances / deviations against internal and client requirements.
·AssisttoexecuteIQ/OQ/PQUAT scripts for temperature-controlled storage units / areas.
Education and Experience:
- Four-year degree in the field of science
- 1+ years related experience.
Preferred:
- 4 year degree in the field of life science
- FDA, CLIA, ISO, GMP experience
- Proficient in using biorepository management software/quality management software and other relevant software applications
- Supply chain management and procurement experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in customer service-oriented positions
- Proven ability to work effectively with teams

Salary: $60k – $70k

Physical Requirements:
·Stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, and reach during shift.
·Use carts, dollies, hand trucks, and other gear to move material around.
·Lift up to 50lbs. Maneuver heavy pallets utilizing manual and electric pallet jacks.
·Go up and down stairs to reach all floor levels of the facility’s storage areas.
·Some activities may require standing in one place for long periods, walking around, or climbing stairs.
·Depending on the role and location, working in freezer / refrigerated walk-in rooms may be required, proper PPE will be provided.
- Right- and left-hand finger dexterity
- Ability to discern colors or use of color correction glasses
- Ability to work with refrigerants (e.g., dry ice and LNs) using proper PPE
