POSITION SUMMARY
The Physical Therapy Aide will assist the physical therapist in the performance of physical therapy treatments. Responsible for supporting day-to-day functions and processes operating within the Craig Hospital Physical Therapy department.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Licensure/Certification/Registrations: Current BLS for the Healthcare Provider through the American Heart Association required.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience: None required.

Skills & Abilities: Ability to compile data, analyze data, and make decisions that support department and hospital objectives. Excellent organization and customer service skills. The ability to successfully handle multiple priorities and prioritize and schedule accordingly while meeting established deadlines. Must be able to successfully and effectively communicate with a variety of personnel. The ability to determine or interpret work procedures for a group of workers, assigning specific duties to them, maintaining harmonious relations among them and promoting efficiency. Advanced team-building, conflict resolution, and communication skills, both verbal and written, are required. Able to maintain a high degree of accuracy, dependability, and strong attention to detail both mechanically and technically. Ability to maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the position. Possess above-average problem-solving skills, judgment, and flexibility.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Assist the physical therapists in performing treatments on adolescent, adult and geriatric patients as instructed by the therapists.

Maintain daily records of treatments administered.

Communicate daily with the physical therapists regarding issues relating to interactions with patients.

Obtain and assemble equipment as requested by the therapists.

Assist the occupational therapists with patient transfers as time allows.

Process paperwork daily as instructed.

Assist in department housekeeping duties.

Performs delegated duties as outlined by physical therapists and P.T. supervisors.

All personnel will use hand hygiene upon entering and leaving a patient's room; before and after individual patient care procedures, before and after group patient activity, after hands are contaminated with any body fluids, secretions, or excretions.

All Craig staff will take responsibility to inform patients, family, and visitors of the importance of hand hygiene in the healthcare and community environment.

Salary Range: $18.65/ Hour - $26.86/ Hour
