Position Summary
As recognized specialists in the K-12 and higher education construction field, we have secured multiple contracts across eastern Massachusetts with timelines extending into 2023. As an Owner’s Representative, you’ll be responsible to oversee and manage assigned projects from design through procurement, construction, and delivery. Working with a seasoned project management team you’ll have great hands-on mentorship available to you as you develop what we hope will be a long-term career with PMA Consultants.

You will ensure timely and collaborative communication with the client (owner), architect, and contractors, including formal reporting. You will represent the owner’s interests at meetings and publicly present project updates.
Position Summary
- As recognized specialists in the K-12, public safety, and higher education construction field, we have secured multiple contracts across eastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island. As an Owner’s Project Manager, you’ll be responsible for overseeing and managing assigned projects from design through procurement, construction, and delivery. Working with a seasoned project leadership team and supported by a team of capable project managers, assistant project managers and site project managers, you’ll have great tools available to you for a long-term career with PMA Consultants.

You will ensure timely and collaborative communication with the client (owner), architect, and contractors, including formal reporting. You will represent the owner’s interests at meetings and publicly present project updates to various committees, abutters, local safety officials, and other project stakeholders as may be necessary.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Project management, site supervision & project controls during feasibility, design, procurement, construction and closeout phases. Responsible for project budgets, schedules, contract interpretations, change management and other complex project management responsibilities.
- Business development. Client communication, relationship building. Presentations to committees and other project stakeholders as necessary, often after normal construction hours.
- Ability to manage client expectations and meet project goals and objectives.
- Self-confident, proactive, and able to work both independently and as an effective team player.
- Internal project budgeting, risk mitigation, quality control and health/safety plan compliance.
- Contract administration & oversight of architects, engineers, subconsultants and others.
- Train, oversee, develop, and mentor junior-level staff.
- Predictable and reliable attendance.
- Other duties as assigned.
Position Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in design, construction, engineering, or related.
- 1-3 years of equivalent relevant experience in design, construction, or engineering.
Location and Commitments
- Permanent full-time role based at client/project site or at PMA Braintree office Monday-Friday (40hrs/wk).
- Overtime work may be required to ensure client projects are delivered on time.
- Evening work is anticipated. Occasional weekend work may be necessary. Ability to be flexible with work hours is a must
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to office and/or client site.
- Criminal Offender Record Information background check (CORI) from Massachusetts and employee’s state of residence required. Results of the background check must be acceptable to both PMA and the client.
- Public project experience or similar preferred.
- Ability to obtain and retain OSHA 10 certification, as it will be required on-site.
- MSBA is a plus.
Additional Requirements
Physical: Standing or sitting for long periods; must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times and spend extended hours in front of a computer screen.
Cognitive: Problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills; computer and software skills; and ability to read and interpret text online or in printed form.
