DIRECTOR OF SALES AND MARKETING

JOB SUMMARY:
- Sales Responsibilities
- Conduct sales calls to prospective residents.
- Schedules, organizes, and conducts tours and appointments with prospective residents and family members for independent living.
- Conducts proper and timely follow-up with all leads ---walk-ins, phone-ins, and mail-ins.
- Directs, coordinates and supervises all sales and marketing programming.
- Ensures CRM is used by self and department staff for all prospect engagements per established policy.
- Manages relationships with prospects, including understanding each prospect’s reasons for inquiring about living at Community and the factors that will be important in their decision.
- Attend community events to market and advertise for the company including outreach.
- Market CCRC Community to prospective residents, family members, physicians, and other referrals, using various methods including, promotional materials, telephone, person inquiries and direct mailings.
- Meets assigned goals for sales activities including call outs, appointments, tours, and sales.
- Schedule closing/move-in dates appropriate to the contract.
- Investigates every alternative before converting a lead to a lost lead.
- Provides assistance and direction to sales team members as needed to “close” or retain sales by conducting various team and/or one on one meetings and trainings. If needed, engages with Home Office Sales and Marketing for support and guidance.
- Management Responsibilities:
- Manages departmental budget.
- Sets positive attitude, tone and atmosphere for the Sales and Marketing Department.
- Must treat each prospect, employee, visitors, your supervisor and residents with courteousness and respect.
- Prepares and monitors the work schedules of Sales Associates.
- Monitors department absenteeism, overtime, and PTO.
- Ensures open communication between self and other departments to ensure the messaging to prospects meets the actual operations of the community.
- Ensures marketing events are coordinated with other departments if involved.
- Responsible for hiring and supervision of the sales and marketing staff.
- Create digital content for website and emails, etc.
- Prepares and delivers job performance evaluations for wellness employees in accordance with company polices and returns to the Executive Director.
- Initiates disciplinary action of sales and marketing staff following established policies and procedures.
- Ensures there is proper documentation of all departmental staff performance issues.
- Provides the orientation and training of department employees per facility policy and monitors ongoing performance.
- Assists in maintaining and updating job descriptions and employee records.
- Works in any position in department if needed for coverage and performs other duties as assigned.
- Works closely with the home office marketing team to engage and attract prospective residents through media advertising.
- Coordinate and implement marketing events/presentations on and off campus.
- Administrative and Other Responsibilities:
- Prepares weekly, monthly and other requested Marketing Reports and competitive analysis.
- Work cooperatively with other departments for the benefit of the new resident to transition to Community in a stress-free environment.
- Maintain awareness of senior marketplace.
- Must know and follow personnel, department and facility policies.
- Maintain confidentiality of medical information and/or contact information.
- Must know and follow personnel, department and facility policies.
- Review prospect financial information, health record, new move-in contracts, etc. for appropriateness.
- Other duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be a high school graduate.
- Must have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Marketing or related field and 5 years’ sales experience.
- Must demonstrate neat appearance and good personal hygiene and set example for other staff by wearing appropriate uniform/attire and nametag as established by supervisor.
- Must have a professional attitude, excellent communication skills, and be conscientious, trustworthy, dependable and punctual.
- Must read, know, and follow oral and written communication regarding personnel, department and community policies.
- Responsible to ensure supplies and equipment are adequate, stored, maintained properly, and available to staff to provide for efficient department performance.
- Runs department in a safe manner and trains staff in proper safety practices to include fire and safety alarms, disaster drills and infection control practices and wearing of protective equipment.
- Must attend all required in-service training for all staff.
- Conduct departmental meetings and in-service training in proper safety practices.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office.
