The GMP Line Technician Supervisor will oversee a team of GMP Technicians responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting manufacturing equipment in an aseptic production environment. The supervisor will ensure that all maintenance activities are conducted efficiently, safely, and in compliance with GMP and regulatory standards while optimizing uptime and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise, train, and mentor a team of GMP Line Technicians to ensure equipment reliability and performance.
- Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance activities on GMP equipment, including vial/syringe, bag filling stations, formulation, and packaging.
- Shop Floor Presence: Ensure technicians are available at all times to support line start-up, changeovers, and troubleshooting.
- Ensure compliance with GMP guidelines, company SOPs, and industry best practices.
- Monitor and prioritize maintenance schedules, ensuring timely completion of PMs and work orders.
- Lead troubleshooting efforts for equipment malfunctions, minimizing downtime and coordinating escalations when necessary.
- Support the development and revision of maintenance SOPs, work instructions, and documentation.
- Assist in commissioning and qualification activities for new equipment installations.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, and Quality teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations for equipment failures, proposing corrective and preventive actions.
- Ensure accurate documentation of maintenance activities in CMMS or Master
- Escalation Point: Communicate critical issues to Manufacturing Engineers and other departments as needed.

Qualifications
- High School Diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in GMP maintenance or technical operations, with 2 years in a leadership role (preferred).
- Strong knowledge of aseptic manufacturing equipment, utilities, and automation systems.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Experience with Building Management Systems (BMS), Environmental Monitoring Systems (EMS), and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and team-building skills.
- Ability to prioritize workload in a fast-paced, high-regulation environment.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact cross-functionally.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and maintenance tracking systems.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
