About the role
The Inventory Assistant Supervisor is role that requires great understanding of inventory processes and the ability to work with/guide the team with goal-based processes in mind. The individual must have the ability to answer questions/give advice on objectives being processed and to keep the team on track to complete tasks in a timely & efficient manner. The Inventory Assistant Supervisor will also be pivotal in the training of new hires to assist in the building of a strong team member and providing knowledge needed for inventory team roles (Warehouse Specialist, Material Handler, Inventory Specialist, Inventory Team Lead) to succeed as well as write reviews.
Essential Functions
- Write reviews for employees.
- Approve times for employees.
- Oversee work tempo and progress.
- Maintain inventory counts and inventory control.
- Process Opening and Closing Procedures for the assigned shift.
- Oversee the collection and distribution of inventory radios & keys.
- Inspect equipment for safety and maintenance needs as they have been reported and sign off daily on inspection sheets.
- Work with the maintenance shop to get equipment maintenance.
- Verify transactions on inventory software.
- Assign Cycling counting as needed.
- Escort Trucks in and out of facility.
- Work in tandem with the Logistics Coordinator to help get any shipping or receiving requirements taken care of as needed.
- Process work orders.
- Maintain safe working environment and practices.
- Basic housekeeping such as sweeping, dusting, floor scrubber and keeping the warehouse clean.

- Exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple tasks, maintain accurate records, and prioritize workload effectively.
- Keen attention to detail to ensure accuracy in inventory records and reporting.
- Strong leadership abilities to supervise, motivate, and develop inventory team members.
- Effective problem-solving skills to address inventory-related issues promptly and efficiently.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with suppliers, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Capable of making sound decisions based on inventory data and operational requirements.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve common goals.
- Flexible and adaptable to changing business needs and inventory demands.
- Strong time management skills to meet deadlines and ensure timely completion of inventory tasks.
