Position Summary
The Medical Assistant III will provide high-quality clinical support in our App Pulmonology clinic. As a credentialed CMA through AAMA or RMA, you will play a critical role in delivering patient care, assisting with diagnostic procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of the clinic. This role requires a dedicated professional with strong clinical skills, a commitment to patient care, and the ability to work effectively within a team. The MA must also obtain certification to take x-rays within six months of hire.
Key Responsibilities:

Patient Care: Greet and prepare patients for examination and treatment. Obtain and record patient history, vital signs, and other relevant information. Assist physicians and advanced practice providers with examinations, procedures, and other clinical tasks.

Clinical Duties: Perform a range of clinical tasks, including administering medications and injections, collecting and processing lab specimens, and performing EKGs and other diagnostic tests as needed. Ensure all clinical procedures are conducted in accordance with established protocols and standards.

Patient Education: Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and self-care instructions. Answer patient questions and provide support to ensure understanding and compliance with medical advice.

Administrative Support: Manage patient scheduling, confirm appointments, and handle patient referrals. Maintain accurate and confidential medical records. Assist with billing and coding tasks as required.

Clinic Maintenance: Ensure the cleanliness and organization of clinical areas. Order and manage medical supplies and equipment. Adhere to infection control and safety protocols.

Team Collaboration: Work closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and efficient patient care. Participate in staff meetings and training sessions as needed.
Compensation is commensurate with education and experience. Hiring compensation range starts at $20.37/ hour. This position is non-exempt.
Position Qualifications
Minimum Education

Associate's degree in Medical Assisting or related field required
Experience
-
0-1 years of experience as a Medical Assistant, preferably in a clinical or outpatient setting.
Required Registration/License/Certification

Current certification as a Medical Assistant or by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).

Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by the American Heart Association is required at time of hire.

Must obtain X-Ray Certification within six months of hire
