About the Role
Join our team as a Placement Specialist – Housing, where you will play a vital role in helping individuals secure stable housing and achieve self-sufficiency. This role involves conducting housing intakes and assessments, developing Individual Program Plans (IPPs), providing housing placement support and coaching, and ensuring all documentation is accurate and compliant. You will also collaborate with landlords and property managers, promote housing programs and services, and uphold agency policies and relevant housing regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess participants" housing needs and develop tailored IPPs.
- Provide coaching and support to help participants secure and maintain housing.
- Monitor progress, update IPPs, and maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Build and maintain relationships with landlords and housing providers.
- Identify and develop new housing opportunities and partnerships.
- Advocate for participants and promote housing stability and community integration.
Qualifications:
- A high school diploma or GED is required; a degree in Social Work, Human Services, or a related field is preferred.
- Bilingual Required.
- 2+ years of experience in housing services, property management, or social services; experience in sales or outreach is a plus.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with client databases like Setworks preferred.
- Valid driver's license, proof of insurance, and ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
Physical and Work Environment:
- Office-based with regular travel to meet with housing providers and clients.
- Frequent standing, walking, and use of hands.
- Ability to lift up to 10 pounds occasionally.
