Citizens Memorial Hospital (CMH) is seeking a Licensed Speech Language Pathologist to join their dynamic team at our main hospital in Bolivar, Missouri. CMH is made up of 34 primary and specialty clinics, 6 Long-Term Care facilities and 1 residential care facility. About the department: The Rehab Services Department works to promote the restoration of functional abilities of individuals with physical, cognitive, sensorimotor, and / or perceptual impairment and communication impairment by the use of physical therapy, occupational therapy, and / or speech language therapy treatments.
A typical day includes: Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating speech language therapy treatments for patients by utilizing equipment, supplies, and procedures appropriate to achieve intended outcomes.
- Identifies patients appropriate for rehabilitative therapies
- Establishes an effective plan of care using appropriate skills for evaluation and screening
- Develops and implements treatment plans that lead to optimal patient outcomes
- Communicates effectively with patients, care team members, physicians, and others
- Writes clear, concise, legible documentation that includes appropriate information for care planning
Job Requirements:
- Education: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology
- Experience: New graduates welcome, 1 year of experience preferred
- Skills: Problem-solving, planning and time-management, verbal and non-verbal communication, basic computer skills, ability to work independently, and listening skills
- Licensure/Certification: Licensed by the Missouri Board of Registration for the Healing Arts; Current State of Missouri Speech Language Pathologist License
- Physical: Physical stamina to sit for extended periods, walk and move around frequently, and lift up to 20 lbs.
The position is full-time, Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm.
