Under general direction of the Executive Director, organizes and conducts prescribed Occupational Therapy programming on the inpatient unit through the application of purposeful, goal-directed activities in the evaluation and treatment of individuals whose function is impaired by psychiatric and/or substance abuse issues. The programs are geared to the short-term and involve many levels of care. There is an expectation to function within a managed care service delivery model. Arranges own work plan in collaboration with the recreational therapist to include direct patient care services, evaluations, and implementation of treatment plans. High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy, NBCOT registration, and currently licensed to practice in Massachusetts required. Minimum of one to two years of psychiatric experience preferred. Current CPR certification required.
