Summary
Under the supervision of departmental management, responsible for planning, organizing, and directing patient care in accordance with established standards and skill competency.
Minimum Qualifications
Must possess a current license or a temporary practice permit to practice professional nursing in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Appropriate clinical experience with a thorough knowledge of the scientific principles of nursing and professional nursing standards, developed skill in delivering nursing care, and the ability to adapt to individual needs.
A fundamental understanding of personal computers and familiarity with the Windows operating system.
The ability to successfully complete a competency-based orientation and annual competency testing of skills and/or knowledge necessary to provide care to specific patient populations.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), or attainment of certification within one year of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
One to three years of clinical experience in a related field.
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
Board certification in Emergency Nursing (CEN).
