This role blends big-picture leadership with hands-on creativity. You'll oversee our social agency team, set the strategic direction for our platforms, and build a content engine that's always on, feeding fans with culture-driving, platform-native, brand-right content. You'll also lead our influencer marketing efforts — identifying the right partners, building relationships, and driving programs that amplify Zaxby's voice in authentic and culturally relevant ways.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Essential duties may include but are not limited to the following:
Strategic Leadership and Oversight of Social
· Lead and manage our social media agency partner(s), ensuring alignment with brand vision, voice, and business objectives.
· Develop and evolve a comprehensive social media strategy that drives brand growth, deepens engagement, and delivers measurable results.
· Serve as the key social media stakeholder within the organization — presenting plans, performance, and opportunities to executive leadership and cross-functional teams.
· Oversee social media budgets, agency scopes, and production timelines to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and on brand.
· Foster collaboration across creative, media, PR, influencer, and customer experience teams to ensure consistent messaging and impactful storytelling across touchpoints.
Content Creation & Curation
· Create high-quality, platform-native content — from concept to production — across TikTok, Instagram, X (Twitter), Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, and emerging platforms. Is just as comfortable writing a brief as you are behind a phone.
· Build and manage a proactive social content calendar that aligns with brand campaigns, cultural moments, and community engagement opportunities.
· Demonstrate a consistent ability to generate fresh, relevant, and high-impact social ideas that break through the noise.
Influencer Marketing
· Own Zaxby's influencer strategy — from identifying talent and building authentic relationships to negotiating partnerships and overseeing content development.
· Develop and manage always-on influencer programs and seasonal campaigns that drive awareness, engagement, and cultural relevance.
· Collaborate with agency and internal teams to brief, manage, and track influencer activations, ensuring content aligns with brand tone and performance expectations.
Campaign Management
· Champion the integration of social strategy into broader brand campaigns and marketing initiatives to ensure cohesion and amplification.
· Guide the agency and internal teams in developing content that supports paid, earned, and owned strategies.
KEY COMPETENCIES
- Expertise in organic social strategy
- Basic graphic design or video editing skills (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, etc.)
- Experience with paid social media campaigns and advertising
- Knowledge of influencer marketing and partnership strategy
- Strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, and analytics tools
- Exceptional written communication skills with the ability to capture and enhance Zaxby's brand voice
- Experience in community management and customer engagement on social platforms
- Proficiency in social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Sprout Social) and analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, native social media insights)
- Creative mindset with a passion for storytelling, brand building, and digital trends
- Ability to manage multiple projects and campaigns simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Microsoft Office Suite proficiency
- Ability to handle confidential/sensitive information appropriately
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE GUIDELINES
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related field preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience: 7+ years of experience in social media management, preferably in QSR, food & beverage, or lifestyle brands
