Key Responsibilities

Claims Management: Handle a portfolio of liability claims, including general liability, auto liability, and property damage, from initial investigation to resolution.
Investigation: Conduct thorough investigations, including interviewing claimants, witnesses, and other parties involved, and analyzing police reports, medical records, and legal documents.
Evaluation: Assess liability and damages, determine coverage, and develop strategies for resolution.
Negotiation: Negotiate settlements with claimants, attorneys, and other parties to achieve fair and cost-effective outcomes.
Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all claims activities, including written reports, correspondence, and settlement documentation.
Compliance: Ensure claims handling complies with company standards, state regulations, and industry best practices.
Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, legal counsel, and external vendors to resolve claims efficiently.
Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by keeping all parties informed throughout the claims process and responding promptly to inquiries.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
3-5 years of experience handling liability claims, with a focus on general liability or auto liability.
Strong knowledge of insurance principles, policy language, and liability laws.
Excellent investigative, analytical, and negotiation skills.
Proficiency in claims management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple claims simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Relevant professional certifications (e.g., AIC, CPCU) are a plus.
