About Memorial Epworth Center
Memorial Epworth Center makes up the inpatient psychiatric care division of Memorial Hospital. We provide care for adolescents (ages 13 to 17) and adults age 18 and older. Our care, directed by board-certified psychiatrists, includes the diagnosis and treatment of conditions such as depression, anxiety disorders, bipolar disorders, schizophrenia and others. We also provide care for older adult-related conditions. At Memorial Epworth Center, our treatment team works closely with patients, their families and medical care providers to develop every patient’s full potential.
What You’ll Do
As a Registered Nurse, you’ll report to the Director or Manager to provide professional nursing services in the area of assignment, assess the needs of patients and initiates, and implement and evaluate individualized plans of care. You will collaborate with other professional, clinical, and ancillary staff in providing compassionat and quality care to patients.
Registered Nurse Job Responsibilities

Prioritizes patient care activities based on acuity, resource availability, patient preferences, and departmental needs.

Maintains accountability for personal and delegated decisions, using evidence-based practices, protocols, and organizational values.

Develops, revises, and evaluates individualized care plans that reflect patient goals, preferences, and needs across physical, emotional, social, and spiritual domains.

Delegates tasks appropriately based on patient needs, staff roles, and competencies, while maintaining accountability for outcomes.
What You Bring
As a Registered Nurse, you’ll bring a high level of knowledge and competency in performing nursing care procedures, assessments, treatment, and techniques and your advanced analytical skills are necessary to solve complex problems and make decisions related to patient care. You demonstrate the interpersonal skills necessary to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, patients, visitors, physicians and others. You demonstrate the ability to communicate, both verbally and in writing, in a clear and concise manner. You have an understanding of the need to be responsive and reasonably adaptable for scheduling purposes, when necessary, due to extenuating circumstances in support of co-workers and department functions.
