Job Summary:
This Dedicated CDL‑A Driver role involves delivering and picking up light rental equipment (no oversized loads) using a tractor‑trailer throughout the Austin, TX area and surrounding communities. The schedule runs Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturday work as needed. Drivers report on and off duty directly at the customer's yard and receive daily dispatch from the customer's team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate haul trucks to transport our customers' equipment safely
- Load, secure, and unload machinery, industrial components, and other specialized cargo using chains, binders, straps, and blocking
- Conduct thorough pre‑trip, in‑route, and post‑trip inspections of truck, trailer, and securement equipment
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, escort vehicles, customers, and job‑site personnel
- Ensure compliance with DOT, state, and local regulations, including weight limits, height/width restrictions, and securement standards
- Maintain accurate logs, paperwork, permits, and load documentation
- Identify and report mechanical issues; perform minor troubleshooting when necessary
- Maintain a clean, organized truck and uphold company safety policies
