SECURITY OFFICER
Reporting directly to the Security Supervisor, responsibilities include assuring a safe and secure environment for all patients, staff, and visitors. May be called upon to provide assistance in many different circumstances, settings, and weather. All shift activities are coordinated to ensure compliance with all hospital policies, documents all shift activities and calls for service as well as security incident reports.
- Education
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Experience
- Experience in security, law enforcement, military, or customer service industry preferred.
- Experience in a healthcare security environment strongly preferred.
- Licensure and/or Certification
- AVADE Certified in Workplace Violence Prevention Levels I, II, and III or obtain within 60 days of employment
- Skills
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Strong verbal communication skills.
- Emotional resilience, the ability to de-escalate people in crisis or with grievances.
- Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English.
- Must demonstrate ability to write Security Report.
