WHAT DOES A SERVICE MANAGER DO?
As a key member of the service team, the Service Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Service Department to ensure exceptional customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, and maximum profitability.
- Schedule, manage and maintain technicians to maximize efficiency while minimizing overheadDrive service revenue through customer outreach, targeted marketing initiatives, and Mazergroup preventative maintenance programs.Work with customers and technicians to explain repairs and expenses, resolve complaints and offer value-added and/or preventative maintenance servicesCreate, maintain, monitor, and close service work orders, including new equipment assembly, pre-delivery inspections, customer repairs, and installations using both manual and electronic systemsMeet and exceed departmental budgets, performance targets, and business objectivesServe as Co-Chair of the dealership's Health and Safety Committee, fostering and promoting a strong culture of workplace safetyBuild strong customer relationships while ensuring a high standard of service excellenceAnd so much more!
WHAT WILL YOU BRING TO US?
- 5+ years of leadership experience, preferably within a service, agricultural, heavy equipment, or related industry environment.Journeyperson certification in AET or HDET, considered a strong asset.Advanced managership/leaderships skills to manage a highly technical staff, shop and projects including effective employee schedulingAdvanced knowledge of Workplace Health and Safety requirementsMarketing experience would be considered an assetA commitment to delivering exceptional customer service within a sales and service environment.Mid-level technical knowledgeBasic knowledge of financial statements and creation of annual budgetsStrong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and web-based applications.The ability to travel occasionally (2 to 3 times per year) for company and vendor training opportunities.Valid driver’s license is required
